  1. Mixing and Cooking Unit
  • Ingredients Mixing: This unit mixes sugar, glucose syrup, gelatin, water, and any other desired ingredients.
  • Cooking System: Heats the mixture to dissolve the sugar and incorporate the gelatin.
  • Aeration: Whips the cooked mixture to add air, which gives marshmallows their soft, spongy texture.
  1. Coloring and Flavoring Unit
  • Color Addition: Adds colors or dyes to the mixture.
  • Flavor Addition: Injects flavors such as vanilla, strawberry, or any desired flavor. This can happen before or after aeration.
  1. Extrusion Unit
  • Extruder: Forces the aerated marshmallow mixture through a die, shaping it into the desired form (ropes, cylinders, etc.).
  • Multi-Color/Flavor Extrusion (if applicable): Allows simultaneous extrusion of different colors or flavors for multi-colored marshmallows.
  • Cutting Mechanism: Cuts the extruded marshmallow rope into the desired size.
  1. Dusting/Cooling Conveyor
  • Starch or Sugar Dusting: Adds a dusting of starch, powdered sugar, or coating to prevent marshmallows from sticking.
  • Cooling Conveyor: Moves the marshmallows while allowing them to cool and stabilize.
